Rico's Burros

Burro Supported Back Country Expeditions

Rico's Burros is a herd of four burros, a dozen goats and two illegal immigrant Mexican dogs. Burro is the Spanish word for donkey and "Rico's Burros" were adopted through the Bureau of Land Management Adoption Program After a summer of work Rico convinced the burros to carry packs and they headed out into the Mohave desert. After two years of adventure in the Mojave , Coachella and Sierra Juarez, Rico and the herd were One.

We offer stock and custom tours of the Warner Wilderness in far northeastern California, Modoc County and the adjoining deserts of northwestern Nevada for those who love to walk but are not interested in becoming a pack animal themselves. We also offer custom tours within the Western United States.
